• Water filtration is the removal of contaminant particles in a body of H20. The type of filter necessary for a specific application is usually determined by the size of the particulate matter to be removed. Contaminant particles are measured using what is called the "micron" unit of measurement.
• The micron is defined as a metric unit of measurement. One micron is equivalent to one one-thousandth of a millimeter [1 micron (1µ) = 1/1000 mm] or 1 micron (micrometer) = 1/1,000,000 of a meter.
• Clean Swim filtration products use medical and pharmaceutical grade material constructed with pores no wider than one micron.

The Quick Connect/Disconnect plastic adapter need only be purchased ONE TIME. After receiving your first filter you only need to buy replacement filters and attach them to your adapter.  It takes only seconds to attach a replacement filter to your Quick Connect adapter.  We provide you with re-usable zip ties for this purpose. Upon initial operation a sudden discoloration of the filter from pure white to black/brown will occur.
